The real misnomer here, if there is one, is that Guild Wars 2 is free to play, but the Guild Wars 2 series is not. It's buy to play. You were always expected to buy expansions. No MMORPG can give you infinite content for free. Some charge for expansions and a montly fee and they all increase power, but no one calls them pay to win.
But 70% are soloable and for 25% you can easy find a group. Not the point. The point is that resetting the Hero Points in maps would mean being able to get their value twice. Or they would have to create a separate reset system for Hero Points, whereby they reset the map completion aspect but not the reward aspect.
Hero skill trainers are skill trainers located in Nightfall and Eye of the North. These NPCs are recognized by the " [Hero Skills]" suffix-tags in their names. Technically Sinister is the best (condition damage, power, precision) non-viper's set but it is really pricey so not really worth it (just get Viper's). The best cheap alternative is Carrion IMHO because Precision doesn't scale well with Condi builds. Power scales much better.
Your Daily quest activity resets at 5:00 AM your local time, and Guild activity resets at 2:00 AM UTC on hero-wars.com and at 05:00 AM UTC on Facebook.. If you're playing on hero-wars.com and your local timezone is different from UTC, all activity and titanite earned between 2 AM UTC and 5 AM of your local timezone will not be counted in today's Guild activity.
Considering you can learn ALL skills/traits and have 400+ hero points left over, reseting skills and traits is not needed. This was it clearly communicated in May I guess, wheb this thread was made. So once again just so everyone unaware can read this: you get far more hero points than you can ever spend on skills/traits.
If player could reset Mastery track which is based on region (where you gain XP for that track), then it would have to be re-designed system where you have Mastery points that aren't bound to where you get them (green = HoT= Mastery related to HoT skills and abilities).
